HAH 01 Stone
Sculpted from the Jordaian Hallabat stone using KUKA robotic arm, and finished by hand. Part of typographic sculptures series, that were inspired by the beauty of the Arabic calligraphic stroke, and the infinite shape of the Arabic letter Ha. Most of the time letters are only carved or extruded to take a third dimension, but in this piece the letter has its own mass and weight to stand in space with its own form and structure. The design also bears industrial aesthetics, as it was designed with high-end fabrications software.
